Knipp Contracting Supports House-a-Vet
Community and service are two of the core values that Knipp Contracting was founded on, and it is with immense pride that we announce our support of a local foundation, Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP). Established in 2011, the USA Homeownership Foundation, Inc. DBA Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and HUD-approved housing counseling organization dedicated to increasing sustainable homeownership, financial-literacy education, VA loan awareness, and economic opportunity for the active-military and veteran communities.
Through partnerships with Home Depot, Bank of America, and Knipp Contracting as the general contractor overseeing the project, VAREP was able to donate a turn-key home to a deserving family. Bank of America donated an asset located in Phoenix, Arizona, and Home Depot provided over seventy-five volunteers who worked tirelessly to complete the project.
On Veterans Day weekend, Knipp Contracting participated in a very special home donation ceremony hosted by VAREP. We laughed, we cried, we sang Proud to be an American, and witnessed as Marine Veteran Lance Corporal, Graham Dorsey and his family received the keys to their new home.
We want to thank the amazing group of people who represent VAREP, for their compassion, dedication and love for our country and the men and women who fight to protect it. As a company we are blessed to be able to provide the support needed to complete a project like this, and we are humbled by the experience. Community and service are what matter the most, and we are grateful to have been a part of the “House-a-Vet.”
